Who Made the FIFA Club World Cup Team?

On Monday, FIFA named the 2025 Club World Cup team of the tournament, which included four Chelsea players. Chelsea won the Club World Cup on Sunday by beating Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 3-0 in the final.

Cole Palmer had an amazing first half, scoring two goals and setting up Joao Pedro for the third to give the Blues the win. The FIFA team of the competition includes Chelsea players Marc Cucurella, Enzo Fernandez, Palmer, and Pedro Neto.

Fernandez had the most assists with three and also scored a goal. Neto and Palmer each scored three goals. Palmer also had two assists and won the Golden Ball. In the six games he played, Cucurella helped keep three clean sheets.

Thiago Silva, a former Chelsea defender who now plays for Fluminense, was also on the XI.

Yassine Bounou, who plays goalie for Al-Hilal, was included on the tournament’s all-star squad. Achraf Hakimi and Marquinhos from finalist PSG made up the back four with Cucurella and Silva.

The lineup was finished by PSG’s Vitinha, Fluminense’s Jhon Arias, and Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Garcia.

Chelsea won the 2021 Club World Cup, which only had eight teams at the time. They made it to the final of the new 32-team competition after beating Portugal’s Benfica and Brazil’s Palmeiras and Fluminense in the knockout stage.

The final was one-sided since the European Cup and French league champions didn’t live up to expectations after easily beating Real Madrid 4-0 in the semifinals.
