Recently, the sports and youth minister of Iran, Ahmad Donyamali, informed the state television that the security of the Iranian athletes cannot be assured in United States. The president of FIFA Gianni Infantino recently met with the U.S. President Donald Trump. Upon the encounter, Infantino reported that Trump told him that Iran would be invited to the tournament.
