Will Cristiano Ronaldo continue with Al Nassr?

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo said on Monday that he is willing to extend with Al Nassr. Saudi club has opened an extension and fresh contract talks with their skipper. It is significant to note that the current deal with the club will expire in 2025 at the end of the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League.

The five-time Ballon d’Or earlier in an interview revealed his desire to continue with Saudi Arabia. I don’t know if I will retire soon, but in two or three years, probably I will retire here at Al Nassr. I’m so happy at this club, I feel good in this country, too. I’m happy playing in Saudi Arabia, and I want to continue,” he said.

The contract talks, meanwhile, occurred after the UEFA Player of the Year opened up about his intention to continue playing until the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

This is expected to make him the first footballer in history to appear in six different editions of the prestigious event. The 900-goal scorer scored a winner in their AFC Champions League Elite match against Al Qatar’s Al Rayyan on Monday.

The following was how the Portuguese skipper reacted after winning via his X handle: “Hard work pays off. Let’s keep going.” Spotted the Al-Nassr at the third position in the points table with four points in two matches.
