Why Did Inigo Martinez Join Al-Nassr?

International news outlets claimed on Wednesday that former Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez had explained why he joined Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.

After ending his contract with Barcelona, Martinez became a free agent and signed with Al-Nassr. Martinez stated he was content with his pay at Barcelona, but it wasn’t easy to turn down an offer from a Saudi Pro League team.

“It’s hard to say no to such chances, which don’t come up very often. Flick got that. Martinez added, “It was nice to talk to him.”

“I wasn’t making too little money; my salary at Barcelona was good.” We were at ease, and the family was delighted. It’s hard to make a choice like that. This kind of deal is unexpected for everyone. It was a sad goodbye. It really hit me hard.

He also said that saying goodbye was hard because he was so emotional.

“It was a very sad goodbye. “I stayed calm because I know myself; I hold on and get stronger. But inside, I was affected, and I saw them affected too,” he said.

“I’ve had a great start; they’ve always been there for me.” It was hard at first since I was hurt when I got there, but the next year I came back and did really well. I quickly became quite loved. “It’s not how much time you have, but how good it is.”

Barcelona has also benefited by Inigo Martinez’s move to Al-Nassr because they don’t have to pay him as much money, but they have to cut that amount to what La Liga allows.

If they didn’t do that, they wouldn’t be able to register fresh players like Joan Garcia and Marcus Rashford.
