Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford (£7.2m) is having his best season yet, with 15 goals and five assists in 29 league games. With a starting price of only £6.5 million, he has also been one of the best-value assets in Fantasy Premier League this season. Unfortunately for him and his owners, he was forced off in the 80th minute against Everton in the previous gameweek.
Who will replace Marcus Rashford?
As a result, we will almost certainly need to look for replacements for the England international. Jack Grealish (£7.0m) would be my first choice to replace Marcus Rashford. He has been playing his best football since joining Manchester City and is also proving to be an excellent FPL option. Grealish has two goals and two assists in his last two league games and has now started 11 of City’s last 11 league games.
He is Pep Guardiola’s preferred midfielder at the moment, and at his price, he represents excellent value. He has scored the most goals (four) of any City midfielder since the World Cup resumed (Gameweek 17), and he has the second-best xGI (expected goal involvements: 7.36). Gabriel Martinelli (£6.7m) is the best option in the same price category as Rashford for managers who are not using their Free Hit in Gameweek 32 or have already used it.
Those on a Free Hit in Gameweek 32 can simply pick the Brazilian, but those who aren’t should bring him in with their transfer. In Blank Gameweek 32, Arsenal will face West Ham (A) and Southampton (H). In conclusion, if you are free-hitting in Gameweek 32, Grealish is the best Rashford replacement, whereas Martinelli is your man if you have already used your Free Hit or want to use it outside of Gameweek 32.
