What did Van Dijk say about Ngumoha’s debut?

Virgil van Dijk, the captain of Liverpool, is thrilled with Rio Ngumoha’s “dream debut” in the Premier League. The youthful player scored the game-winning goal against Newcastle United on Monday.

Ngumoha came off the bench and scored a stunning goal deep into stoppage time. He became the fourth-youngest scorer in league history and the youngest ever to do it for Liverpool as the champions beat the Magpies 3-2.

Van Dijk praised the young player, saying it was a “dream debut” for him and that he is thrilled for the prodigy.

Arne Slot, the coach of Liverpool, also applauded Ngumoha, adding that it was a terrific goal by a 16-year-old.

Slot, the manager of Liverpool, stated, “It was a great goal for a 16-year-old.”

He also said that, given his age, the teen is a great finisher.

“It was a tremendous chance. He can finish extremely well for a kid his age. You don’t see this very often: how hard his shot was.

“He is so sure of himself, and for him to score is not just a coincidence; for his age, he is a very good finisher.”

Liverpool is now tied for first place in the table with Arsenal and Spurs, each with six points from two games. Newcastle, on the other hand, still hasn’t won a game and only has one point. Their injury problems are becoming worse, and they don’t know what will happen with Isak.
