West Ham sign striker Fullkrug from Dortmund

West Ham United announced on Monday that they have signed Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Fullkrug for four years.

The London club was interested in Fullkrug before last season, but he moved from Werder Bremen to Dortmund, where he scored 16 goals in 46 matches in all competitions. “I think the Premier League is the best league in the world, and for me it is the right time to move over to England and play for a big Club like West Ham,” stated Fullkrug.

“I’ve been thinking about West Ham for ages. Since we worked together at Werder Bremen, I know Technical Director Tim Steidten well and have seen the team’s quality in games.” The Hammers paid allegedly 27 million pounds ($34.5 million) for the German international. The 31-year-old Fullkrug scored twice in five Euro 2024 appearances for Germany.
