UEFA Futsal Champions League 2024/25: Preliminary Round Starts August 21

The 2024/25 UEFA Futsal Champions League will kick off with its preliminary round scheduled to take place from August 21 to 25, 2024. This initial phase will see 32 teams slug it in eight mini-tournaments in a fight for the remaining places in the main round. Just how if stands, the best eight of those will join the rest through from Path B to the Main Round taking place on October 22-27, 2024.

The preliminary round comprises eight groups:

Group A: KMF Titograd (Montenegro), Blue Magic FC Dublin (Ireland), Futsal Club FORCA (North Macedonia), Ranger’s FC (Andorra)
Group B: Futsal Minerva (Switzerland), Amigo Northwest (Bulgaria), FC Fiorentino (San Marino), Pro Futsal Cymru (Wales)
Group C: Akaa Futsal (Finland), Tirana Futsal (Albania), TSV Weilimdorf
Group E: Catania C/5 (Italy), Hjørring Futsal Klub (Denmark), Utleira Idrettslag (Norway), Europa FC (Gibraltar)
Group F: FC Diamant Linz (Austria), AEL Limassol (Cyprus), AEK Futsal Club (Greece), Aberdeen Futsal Academy (Scotland)
Group G: MNK Široki Brijeg

The most notable of the teams taking part are the 19th appearance of Araz Naxçivan and Kairat Almaty with record entries in European competition—in number, 21. Among others, Aberdeen Futsal Academy and Catania enter the preliminary round.

The main round will be divided into Path A and Path B, wherein determination of those going into the elite round will be held from November 26 to December 1, 2024. Finally, the elite round will complete the traditional final four, with the knockout finals being played out in May 2025.

The main round will feature, among others, Path A with Sporting Clube de Portugal and Kairat Almaty and Path B with a selection of preliminary round winners. The three best sides in every main round group will go forward to the elite round; from there, all roads lead to the finals.
