U17 EURO Finals draw 2023

The holders France have been drawn into a group with Scotland, Germany, and Portugal at the UEFA European Under-17 Championship finals at Hotel Ensana Thermal Margitsziget in Budapest. The draw, made by Hungary’s most-capped player and tournament ambassador Balázs Dzsudzsák, divided the 16 contenders, including hosts Hungary, into four groups of four teams. The top two players from each group will progress to the elimination round. The group stage runs from 17 to May 24. And Hungary will face finals debutants Wales, Poland, and the Republic of Ireland, with the quarter-finals on May 27 and the semi-finals on May 30. Plus, the final is on June 2. Croatia, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and England are all in the same section as Serbia, Spain, Italy, and Slovenia.

Thus the schedule will be released in due course. The finals will also serve as a UEFA qualifier for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, held in Peru from November 10 to December 2. The four semi-finalists and the winners of a play-off between the two beaten quarter-finalists with the best group stage record. So they will compete for the five slots.
