Tottenham has attempted to sign the 6ft 3ins attacking midfielder during the past three windows but has a limited budget this time around. Roma may be open to letting him out on loan but would want guaranteed payments with an obligation to buy at the end of the loan for the Italy international who has 11 caps. They have seen a £12m proposal for Brighton’s Leandro Trossard rejected this window and have shown interest in Everton’s Anthony Gordon. A move for their former academy graduate Marcus Edwards at Sporting Lisbon was also discussed but Zaniolo may prove a deal within reach.
