Ronaldo’s YouTube Surge Threatens MrBeast’s Crown

In a dramatic turn of events, two of the world’s largest stars in different fields may be merging efforts in the fight against the top YouTuber. Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, has revealed that he is likely to join Lionel Messi in a fight to counter Cristiano Ronaldo’s sudden growth on the platform, he admitted. An implausible face-off between giants in the social media and soccer worlds, the news sends shockwaves across the internet.

Cristiano Ronaldo is already an international icon based on his achievements in the field. However, on August 21, 2024, he created his YouTube channel, UR Cristiano, and that is how his online popularity circulated. Hours into unveiling his channel, Ronaldo broke a number of records, gaining over 10 million subscribers within just 17 hours into making the channel. Posting 19 videos back-to-back in less than a day, Portuguese forward Ronaldo gained more than 40 million views in just 24 hours.

His channel has kept up with this incredible growth rate. Currently, his channel has nearly 64 million subscribers. Such a huge count in this little span of time is a record count. To put that in perspective, MrBeast has built up his base of 318 million subscribers in over a decade. But still, as Ronaldo has been breaking all the records at a pace never seen before, that really is a thing to worry about for MrBeast. The American 26-year-old is the most-subscribed individual creator on YouTube.

Ronaldo’s YouTube Surge Threatens MrBeast’s Crown

MrBeast recently appeared on Logan Paul’s podcast, where he gave props to Ronaldo’s achievements. What’s more, he said that the Portuguese superstar actually is one reason he feels threatened about his record being broken. “I broke the world record for most subs in a month,” said MrBeast of his record-breaking performance of gaining 20 million subscribers in 30 days.

“And two months later, Ronaldo comes on and three X’s it”. Ronaldo’s initial surge placed him on a growth path that, at some point, might take him past MrBeast’s top position on the YouTube podium. Still, this 26-year-old YouTube sensation isn’t ready to give up his crown. Actually, in an interview, he said, “I’m not going down without a fight.” He even joked about probably doing a collaboration with Ronaldo’s longtime nemesis, Lionel Messi, to keep his channel ahead in terms of subscribers.

“If I’ve got to do a Messi collab, I’ll do it.”
