Ronaldo Hints at Al Nassr Exit?

After losing his final Saudi Pro League match, Cristiano Ronaldo sent a mysterious message on social media on Tuesday, hinting to his Al Nassr future. The 40-year-old forward joined Al Nassr in 2022 and will leave in June. Ronaldo led the Saudi Pro League with 25 goals. In a 34-match league, his club finished third with 70 points, behind Champions Al Ittihad with 83 and Al Hilal with 75.

Al Nassr likewise missed out on next season’s AFC Champions League. Ronaldo shared a photo of himself in the Al Nassr jersey on X (previously Twitter) with a cryptic message after the club’s last League match. Al Nassr lost 3-2 to Al Fateh in their season finale. However, Ronaldo scored his 99th goal in his 105th club appearance.

Last week, reports stated Ronaldo received a substantial offer from an unknown Brazilian team that will play in next month’s FIFA team World Cup. Brazilian clubs Botafogo, Fluminense, Flamengo, and Palmeiras will play next month. In an interview, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said there are ‘discussions’ about Ronaldo’s participation in the summer event, despite Al-Nassr’s exit. FIFA’s first 32-team Club World Cup will be held in the US from June 14 to July 13.
