Rodri Manchester City Injury Concern?

Rodri Manchester City injury has now become one of the major issues among Manchester City supporters as Pep Guardiola himself has messaged that the midfielder would not play the next game in the Premier League against Burnley because of the issue in his groin.

Rodri Manchester City injury crisis started when the Spanish midfielder was taken off late in the 2-1 victory of City over Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday. The replacement caused an immediate concern on the bench and this is considering his significance in managing the midfield whenever the team is in a high pressure match.

After the game, Rodri had medical examinations on Monday to determine the extent of the problem. Although there were initial concerns that there could be a longer absence, Guardiola has now given a more promising news. The City manager affirmed that the injury does not seem to be a serious one but Rodri will not be available on the trip to Turf Moor.

These remarks by Guardiola have relieved some of the tension surrounding the team, particularly considering that Manchester City are in a critical period of the title race. The loss of Rodri is still a blow, although hope within the club is that he can be back in a relatively short time in case recovery brings good results.

The Spanish midfielder has proved to be one of the most influential and consistent players of City this season. His skills in controlling tempo, disrupting attacks by opponents, and dictating possession make him a key figure in the system of Guardiola. In his absence, City might have to make a change in their midfield formation to play Burnley.
