Real Madrid Edge Sociedad with 10 Men, Thanks to Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe had a great day, scoring a goal and setting up Arda Guler. Real Madrid beat Real Sociedad 2-1 on Saturday, keeping their perfect start in La Liga.

Madrid came out strong at the start of the game, and in the second minute, Mbappe set up Guler for what looked like the first goal. But VAR found that the France captain was just a little offside.

Ten minutes later, Mbappe took advantage of a mistake by the Sociedad defence to score his fourth league goal of the season. But it was hard for Madrid when defender Dean Huijsen was sent off in the 32nd minute for pulling down Mikel Oyarzabal as the last man.

Real Madrid players and coach Xabi Alonso were not satisfied with the referee Jesus Gil Manzano’s call because they thought Oyarzabal was too far away from the box.

Alonso said during a news conference, “I thought it was a clear yellow card from the sideline, and after watching the replay closely, I’m even more sure that it wasn’t worth a straight red.”

“But I’m proud that my players kept fighting and won. We had good chances to score more goals and did a good job of holding on at the back.” I was very happy to see how well they worked together and how much team spirit they had on the pitch today.

Even though there were only ten players on the pitch, Madrid increased its lead just before halftime when Kylian Mbappe set up Arda Guler to score from close range.

In the 56th minute, Oyarzabal scored from the penalty spot after Dani Carvajal handled the ball, making the score 2-1.

The visitors, on the other hand, played very well even though they were one man short. They won a hard-fought game thanks to goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who made sure that the ball did not get into the net. Real Madrid is in first place in La Liga with 12 points from four games.
