A contested game at Lille’s home pitch showcased both teams’ skills. After Vitinha’s 33rd-minute chance, PSG overcame the home team. Lille’s Alexsandro Ribeiro hit PSG’s newly recruited Ousmane Dembélé, resulting in a penalty. PSG led after Vitinha scored.

Bradley Barcola scored three minutes later to extend PSG’s lead. A swift counterattack helped the 21-year-old shooter, who has been hot this season. Fans at home were pleased when he scored his fourth goal of the season from the far post.

Lille rallied from a two-goal deficit. The 78th minute saw Edon Zhegrova score a fantastic long-range goal to make it 2-1. Lille tried to equalize, and Tiago Santos scored, but it was called offside.

PSG won and ended the game in extra time. An additional player, Randal Kolo Muani, headed in a cross to win for Paris. Kolo Muani scored his first PSG goal as they triumphed.

With this win, PSG has nine points, two more than Marseille, Nantes, AS Monaco, and Lens, who have eight points but are tied for top on goal difference. PSG captain Marquinhos believed beating Lille was crucial.

“It was a very important game for us against a team that always pushes hard at the top of the table,” he said. “These kinds of points are crucial in the long run, and they really make a difference in a title race.”

PSG will strive to win another Ligue 1 title by maintaining their form.
