Portuguese national team Head Coach Take on Ronaldo’s Brilliance

The head coach of the Portuguese national team, Roberto Martinez, feels that the captain of the team, Cristiano Ronaldo-a living legend in Portuguese football-sets “an example for his teammates.”The Portugal boss was impressed as he praised the Al Nassr striker’s commitment to international football at the age of 39 as an example to his teammates.

His comments came as hundreds of people descended on St Mirren Park, or the SMiSA Stadium in Paisley, to catch a glimpse of Ronaldo. There, at the stadium, was where the Portugal football team was getting ready for pre-match preparations in view of Tuesday’s Nations League clash against Scotland. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner faced many criticisms following failure to find the target as Portugal bowed out of Euro 2024 in the quarterfinal defeats to France.

Martinez has since continuously stuck to his representation of faith in Ronaldo, who scored his 133rd international goal in Saturday’s 3-1 Nations League triumph over Poland in Warsaw. The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus started that match with Martinez assuring his fans that he will be involved against Scotland.
