PFF Faces Ban After Rejecting FIFA’s Constitutional Amendments

On Wednesday, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalization Committee (NC) warned that FIFA could punish the federation for rejecting constitutional reforms. FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s changes were overwhelmingly rejected in the Extraordinary Congress in January, causing a federation deadlock.

The NC found that the PFF constitution violates FIFA rules following a thorough assessment. The committee warned that FIFA will suspend all football-related activity, including elections, if the revisions were not implemented. The international football governing body has stressed the importance of these adjustments for Pakistani football’s long-term stability.
