The long-awaited moment has finally arrived. Paul Pogba has made his second debut for Juventus, more than seven months after it was announced that he would be returning to Turin. The Frenchman rejoined the Serie A titans in the summer of 2018, six years after he had first left for Manchester United. However, he has been unable to actually don the famous black and white shirt due to a number of injury setbacks that have ensured he has spent the entirety of the season so far on the treatment table rather than on the pitch.
Paul Pogba finally makes Juventus debut but is outshone by Man Utd
Pogba’s return to his previous team, the Red Devils, was unfortunately overshadowed by a late goal scored by Adrien Rabiot, who had been a target for United in the past. Rabiot also added his team’s fourth goal. The former Paris Saint-Germain player sealed an amazing victory with a goal ten minutes before the game’s end. Last summer, there were rumours that Rabiot would be moving to Old Trafford to play for Manchester United. But, the club ultimately decided to sign Casemiro instead due to concerns with Rabiot’s demeanour and salary demands.
As for Pogba, the 29-year-old will be overjoyed to be returning to action for the first time since April of the previous year. He has been sidelined with an injury. While he was playing for United, his most recent competitive outing consisted of a loss by the score of 4-0 while he was at Liverpool. But, Pogba was able to get some game time under his belt on Tuesday night as the Bianconeri defeated Torino 4-2 at the Allianz Stadium. Despite the loss, Pogba was able to get some experience under his belt. The player that won the World Cup was brought into the game in the 69th minute, and just two minutes later, Juventus took the lead.
