Nuno Espirito Santo Signs New Deal with Nottingham Forest

The club said on Saturday that Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has signed a new deal that would keep him at the club until the summer of 2028. Nuno took over Forest in December 2023. Under his direction, the team avoided relegation and finished seventh in the Premier League in 2024–25, its greatest finish in over 30 years.

This amazing turnaround also guarantees that Forest will play in European competition for the first time since the 1995–96 season. They nearly lost out on a Champions League spot by finishing slightly below fifth-placed Newcastle United.

Now they will compete in the UEFA Conference League playoff round later this year. Nuno’s influence was seen when he won three Premier League Manager of the Month awards during the 2024–25 season. This showed how well he had adjusted since returning to English football.

He used to be in charge of Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he got a lot of credit for getting the team into the Premier League and getting them into European competition. He then spent a short time at Tottenham Hotspur.

Nuno was excited to keep building on the club’s progress after signing a new three-year term. Nuno remarked, “I’m so happy to be able to keep going on this journey with this great football club.” He stressed how important it is for the players, fans, and everyone else involved with the team to have a solid link.

“We worked very hard to build a strong connection between the players, the supporters, and everyone else at the club, which helped us do great things last season. He said, “Now is the time to work harder than ever as we try to make more special memories together.”
