Moffi, who came to Nice from the French club Lorient and has been one of the most impressive players in the league so far this year, has reportedly signed a loan deal with an obligation to make the deal permanent. Nice made this announcement.

“We’re delighted that Terem’s determination to sign for OGC Nice, combined with our own, has led to this outcome,” Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivère said. “It’s an investment that matches our ambitions.”

Moffi was reportedly going to be part of a trade that would see Bamba Dieng sign with Lorient. Marseille had expressed interest in acquiring his services as a striker for their team. Last week, the Senegalese forward did sign a contract with Lorient for four years, but Moffi chose to sign with Nice instead. Nice has indicated that Moffi may start this weekend’s match against Marseille, while Marseille has turned its attention to the Braga striker Vitinha. According to the publication L’Equipe, the 22-year-old Vitinha traveled to the French port city of Le Havre on Tuesday to clinch a deal with the club that won the Champions League in 1993. Southampton was reportedly interested in signing Vitinha.
