Netherlands claimed a 2-1 victory over Poland in a Group D match in the final tournament of 2024 UEFA European Football Championship or EURO 2024 on sunday as per the reports of Anadolu Agency. Hence, Netherlands defeated Poland 2-1 in EURO 2024 Group D.

Adam Buksa of Poland forwarded the lead to his team from a corner kick with a header in the 16th of the match that was played in Volksparkstadion.

The Flying Dutchmen marked several possible goal attempts, some of which were well saved by the Polish team’s goalie Wojciech Szcsesny but after much pressure, Cody Gakpo scored a goal in the 29th minute.

MU had the chance to take the lead in 46th minute with Memphis Depay shot that went very close to the bottom of the Goal Post.

Several opportunities to score were missed by both the sides, but in the final minute of the first additional forty, Dutch forward Wout Weghorst placed a perfect first touch to secure the 3-1 victory for the Netherlands.

A beautiful shot taken by the Polish midfielder Nicola Zalewski from the middle of the field, right on time at the 95th minute of the game was blocked by Dutch ‘keeper Bart Verbruggen.

The Netherlands are at the top of group D presently with three points, while the Pols have no points and they are at the fourth position in the group D.
