Mohamed Salah Backs PSG in Champions League

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah supported Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to win the Champions League semi-final as they meet Arsenal here at Parc des Princes on Wednesday with a 1-0 aggregate advantage in their favour.

Salah wants PSG to triumph the final against Inter Milan in Munich on June 1 and has a certain favourite for the game. Joining the hype around the much awaited second leg of the second semi-final, the Egyptian striker cautioned the Gunners they would be facing PSG’s “best team in Europe”.

For the uninitiated, PSG is the side who turned around Liverpool on penalties in the round of sixteen. When Salah thought back on their loss, he said Liverpool was lucky in the Champions League’s first leg since Alisson Becker, their goalie, was in “best form”.

“I have to be really honest, PSG were playing a very good game in the first leg,” Salah said to a French publication.

“We were really lucky that Alisson most likely played his best game in the history of the club. They next arrived at Anfield. We struck the post two or three times, terribly unlucky.

Mohamed Salah said that they were unlucky since they missed the target two or three times and the game was evenly poised.

” Then they arrived at Anfield. We were also unlucky since we struck the post two or three times and either once or twice saved balls on our line. We were really unlucky as well.

Everything in this contest was 50/50. Who had more right to qualify? Nobody could respond. Their first leg was really good; our second leg was likewise strong. And you suffer penalties; sometimes it’s your day. Usually it’s mine. Their day was what it was.
