Lionel Messi has shared with us what goes on in his personal life besides football where he stated that a career as a coach was not in his plans. In one of his few interviews with an Argentine streaming site Luzu, the eight-time Ballon dor winner was open about his long-term aim as he enters the final phase of his playing career.
At age 38, Messi assured that he will retire but he will not stop being attached to football. However, he clarified that he does not feel that he can see himself on touchline as a manager. Rather, the Argentine superstar expressed his wish to start something on his own feet. I would prefer to have my own club where I would begin on the bottom and offer a future to youthful players, not trophies as Messi added that he would prefer growth and developing the club rather than having trophies.
Messi is currently a player with Inter Miami and has just renewed a three-year contract with the club, which means that he will play with Major League Soccer at the end of his late thirties. The extension dies off any impending retirement rumour and corresponds with his ambition of playing in what should be his last FIFA world cup, whereby he hopes to win Argentina 2022 championship.
Outside of football, Messi talked a lot about mental health and personal development. He disclosed that he was taking therapy when he was at Barcelona and he confessed that he used to have problems holding back his emotions. I transformed a great deal, he said, and it is all about the mental state in elite sport.
Irrespective of the world recognition, Messi has said that he believes in isolation and tranquility, particularly at home. The family life may be hectic but he confessed that he liked spending time alone without the media attention.
