Marcus Rashford denies ‘ridiculous’ Manchester United exit rumors?

Marcus Rashford has hit out at ‘ridiculous’ suggestions that unsettled Manchester United star he wants a new agent to work on his express wish to be sold by under-fire Old Trafford bosses. A report this week said the England forward Rashford had met with a leading sports agency in a bid to engineer a move.

The United youth academy graduate was omitted from four successive matchday squads last month, starting with the derby against Manchester City, before being an unused substitute for Monday´s defeat by Newcastle.

He has struggled badly over the last two seasons, netting just four times in the Premier League this term.

The clubs that are recently linked with Rashford include Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

But Rashford, who is currently represented by his brother Dwaine Maynard, responded to the latest claims about his future by insisting he had not changed agent.

Marcus Rashford denies 'ridiculous' Manchester United exit rumors?

“Been a lot of false stories written over the past few weeks, but guys this is getting ridiculous – never met with any agency and don´t have any plans to.,” he wrote on Instagram. Notably, Marcus Rashford had earlier said last month that he was ‘ready for a new challenge’ amid speculations of himself being involved in a move away from England’s Premier League.

That sparked newspaper stories that United wanted to offload the England forward, who has been at United since he was seven, and the 27-year-old spoke on the subject while visiting his old school to distribute Christmas presents.

“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” Rashford said to football writer Henry Winter, who asked if he was staying or leaving United.

“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person. “If I know it is already bad, I am not going to make it worse. I have seen how other players have left in the past, and so don’t want to be that person.”. “When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”
