Manchester City Signs Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan

Manchester City, a big team in the Premier League, announced on Tuesday that they had signed AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders for five years for £46.5 million.

He played for AC Milan for two years and has the most goals and assists of any midfielder in the Serie A 2024–25 season. Reijnders scored 15 goals in 54 games for Milan, which is more than twice as much as he had ever scored in a single season before.

The international from the Netherlands started his career at PEC Zwolle, then went to AZ Alkmaar, and finally to AC Milan. Along with Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli, and Rayan Cherki, Reijnders is Pep Guardiola’s fourth signing of the summer.

Reijnders was happy to join City and told the team what he wanted to do in the future.

“I’m so happy to be signing with Manchester City.” City is one of the biggest teams in the world. They have the top coach, world-class players, and great facilities. Reijnders remarked, “City has won so many titles under Pep Guardiola, and I want to help keep that going with even more success in the years to come.”

“It’s also a dream come true to play in the Premier League. Over the years, many of the best Dutch players have played in this league, and it’s inspiring to want to be like them.

“I can’t wait to get started, meet the other players, and show the Manchester City fans what I can do.”

Reijnders has joined the club in time and is now eligible to play in the FIFA Club World Cup, which starts in the US on June 15. He might make his debut on June 18 against Wydad FC.
