Man United’s Shaw Faces New Injury Setback

Manchester United left back Luke Shaw revealed he suffered another injury setback two weeks after returning. After missing much of this year due to injury, British media reported that the England defender picked up another issue during training that might sideline him for weeks.

The 29-year-old, who missed the season opener due to a calf injury, posted on social media on Tuesday that he experienced a little setback.

“I’ve been through a lot of ups and downs but this has definitely been my toughest period,” said. “I’m absolutely devastated and it’s extremely tough to come to terms with reality at this moment in time.”

Shaw, who had been out for nearly four months with a muscle injury from February, came off the bench in United’s 1-1 tie with Ipswich Town on Nov. 24 and made two more substitute appearances.

United, tenth in the Premier League, play Arsenal, second, on Wednesday.
