Luis Enrique Stresses PSG Positivity

After losing to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Paris St. Germain head coach Luis Enrique urged his team to keep positive ahead of their Ligue 1 match against Nantes at Parc des Princes on Saturday.

The Ligue 1 leaders lost 1-0 at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday, dropping to 25th in the Champions League with four points and outside the playoff spots with three matches left in the first phase.

PSG, who have only won one Champions League game this season, played with 10 men against Bayern when winger Ousmane Dembele was sent off for a second card in the 56th minute for a lunging tackle.

“What we observed was good. We faced a final competitor away from home. I liked what I saw despite everything; there are always things to improve, but keep positive “Luis Enrique told reporters Friday.

Bayern are a final favourite. The usual pressure was used. I attempted changing… We’ve tormented them more than any other club this season.

Feeling confident. We should have nine Champions League points. Not hiding behind that. It was nice in Munich. Very optimistic.”

PSG lead Ligue 1 with 32 points after winning 10 and drawing two of their 12 matches, while Nantes is 16th with 10. Luis Enrique claimed the visitors have nothing to lose when they play on the weekend.

“Nantes deserve more points. I expect a challenging game despite their four league losses “Spain added.

“We need to keep racking up wins and get into good habits with a view to the Champions League.”
