Lucas Paquetá Emotional After Red Card

The West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta has allegedly been having a hard time emotionally after being red carded in Sunday’s 2-0 loss to Liverpool at home. Brazilian star was sent off after receiving two yellow cards due to dissent in a matter of 60 seconds, and that left the Hammers with ten men over the last portion of the game.

The manager Nuno Espirito Santo, on Tuesday told the situation and that Paquetá is disappointed and sad but regretted what he did. The 28 year old ended up being dismissed despite the efforts of his teammates to cool him down but the referee, Darren England kept arguing with him.

After the game, Paquetá went to social media to lament about the Football Association since he has not been given any psychological assistance when he was under investigation of spot-fixing that took more than two years. Paquetá was eventually acquitted of all four in July, which would have been a lifetime ban.

It was two years of your life and you are not having any psychological support of the federation, it is ridiculous, said Paquetá. He also regretted to his teammates and his fans and insisted that his action did not deserve a sending off.

Nuno Espirito Santo affirmed that the midfielder has admitted his error, and he is determined to get onwards. Occasionally, people are not conscious of the entire problems faced by footballers but Lucas will get out of this situation, Nuno said.

West Ham United signed Paquetada in 2022, the former Olympique Lyonnais player, who has a contract until 2027. Although there is speculation on his future, the manager stressed that the Brazilian is content in the East London club and he is determined to play a positive role during the forthcoming matches.

West Ham will also play Manchester United on December 5th in the Premier League and Paquetá is likely to be on the list of players that the team can pick to recover after the defeat to Liverpool.
