Liverpool hijack? Chelsea bid £34m for La Liga star as £30m striker deal “close”

As they ‘close in’ on their first signing of the summer, Chelsea is thought to be planning a bid to sign Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga before Liverpool does.

Liverpool hijack? Chelsea bid £34m for La Liga star as £30m striker deal “close”

Real Madrid is interested in Veiga because of how well he played in La Liga this summer. The 21-year-old scored 11 goals and set up four others.

Romano said on the Here We Go Podcast, “This week, Liverpool talked to some people close to Gabri Veiga.”

“He’s an electric player, but he’s more of a great player. I think he’s one of the best players in the world and I like him a lot. One of the teams that wants to sign this player is Liverpool.

We heard that a deal with Newcastle had already been made, but that’s not true at all. Gabri Veiga is someone Liverpool wants a lot.

“This is a big chance for Liverpool, and they’re thinking if the player is worth the money. Does this really help?”

But Veiga’s release option of £34 million is also attracting Chelsea, and Romano has now said that the Blues have done the same things as Liverpool.

Romano tweeted, “Chelsea has asked Celta Vigo about Spanish player Gabri Veiga’s release clause, conditions, payment terms, or the chance to negotiate.” There is neither a bid nor a plan as of right now.

“CFC Liverpool did the same thing earlier this week, and he is one of the players that LFC is keeping an eye on.”A striker for Villarreal named Nicholas Jackson could join Veiga at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea is “close to making a deal” to sign the Senegalese player, who stood out by scoring nine goals in his last eight La Liga games.

Personal terms have been agreed upon, and 90min says that talks with Villarreal about the transfer fee are going well.

Jackson’s contract has a £30 million release option, but it’s thought that Chelsea will pay that fee in installments rather than all at once.
