Liverpool Celebrate Premier League Glory

Following a Sunday 5-1 triumph at Anfield, Liverpool was declared Premier League champions for the season 2024/25.

Following Dominic Solanke’s top score for Tottenham, Mohammad Salah, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, Alexis Mac Allister, and an own goal clinched the deal for the Reds.

After five years, Arne Slot’s side has become champions. Levelling with their historical Premier League rivals Manchester United, this is their 20th title.

The stadium was quiet for a brief period of time as Luis Diaz struck back four minutes later, Mac Allister and Gakpo also caught the ball to half-time, so closing the scores 3-1. Liverpool was stunned with an early strike from former Reds’ striker Solanke in the 12th minute to put Tottenham ahead.

Bundling in an own goal, Spurs player Destiny Udogie placed the last nail in the coffin. Liverpool simply needed a point to lead unquestingly on the table; today, with 82 points from 34 games played, they are top on the table, Arsenal second on 67.

Following their most recent title triumph, the Reds’ total currently comprises ten League Cups at national level, eight FA Cups, and twenty Premier League crowns. Their suitcase also included three UEFA Cup/Europa Leagues, six European Cups/Champions Leagues, four European Super Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup.
