Lamine Yamal Dismisses Injury Rumours After Barcelona Draw

Barcelo starlet Lamine Yamal has come out to snap his silence since the exciting 3-3 draw Barcelona played with Club Brugues in the champions league and wiped the rumors indicating his physical and mental wellbeing.

Talking to journalists after the game, the 18-year-old winger claimed that he felt very fine, very relaxed and refuted the rumors that he was not happy and had a sore groin.
They have been talking so much about my groin injury and how sad I was, and it was all a lie. I always felt good and concentrated on getting to peak fitness and play my best.

Although Yamal scored a spectacular goal with the help of his teammate Fermin Lopez, he did not emphasise personal achievement. “I just try to do my best. That was easy with a heel pass by Fermin, but we could not get the win, that is the best thing, he said.

Yamal was so humble that he even compared himself to Lionel Messi, a frequent line in his talent debates. Messi has got a thousand goals like that. I can’t compare myself to him. I simply have my eyes on better and my own way to go.

He said that he felt both ways about the game. It is never easy to play here. We are Barca, we need to win, yet it is hard to give three goals. We’ll fix that.”

Yamal remained extremely composed in the face of boos by the Belgian crowd. I am getting booed because I know that I do my job well, he grinned. As they are halting, it means I am doing it even better.

Next, Barcelona will switch its focus to La Liga as it hopes to gather momentum as Yamal keeps developing to be one of the brightest young football stars.
