In a video, a news anchor can be seen talking to some fans in Arabic, the fan asks the reporter about the country, the reporter pretends to be Israeli and the Lebanese leave without talking to him. A moment later, the Lebanese fans would return and tell the reporter that he was not Israel, but Palestine. Another video has gone viral on Twitter in which a reporter talks to a vendor selling flags and other items for soccer fans in Doha. At first the shopkeeper agrees to talk to the reporter, but when the reporter identifies himself as Israeli, he refuses to talk to him.
