According to reports, UEFA has awarded Inter, Milan, and Napoli bonuses for making it thus far in the Champions League. This season, three of the four Italian representatives advanced to the Champions League Round of 16.
Inter, Milan, and Napoli will receive champions league bonuses from UEFA
Juventus fell short due to a poor group-stage performance against Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica, and Maccabi Haifa. All three prevailed in their Round of 16 matches and will now square off in the quarterfinals against Napoli, Milan, and Benfica of the Primeira Liga, respectively.
UEFA paid out its Champions League bonuses today, according to Calcio e Finanza, awarding Inter, Milan, and Napoli approximately €9.6 million apiece for making it to the Round of 16 stages.
For making it to the quarterfinals, all three teams will also receive an additional €10.6 million, which will be paid out later. According to current estimates, Napoli has earned €78 million from the Champions League this season, Milan €71 million, and Inter €68 million.
