Huijsen Rejects £50M Chelsea Bid to Join Madrid

Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen will reject Chelsea and Arsenal overtures to join Real Madrid. The 20-year-old reportedly went to Spain to take advantage of the club’s long-term stability. Huijsen just spent a year at Bournemouth after leaving Juventus for $12 million, but he will go again this summer. His current team’s £50 million release clause makes him an easy decision.

Despite being poised to join a big Spanish team, the Cherries star once caught Malaga’s notice. According to Spanish media, Huijsen’s father has told Real Madrid that they are his son’s first choice.

Following every young player, several of whom have developed, Chelsea has offered Huijsen, but he has declined, reports say.

Since Huijsen’s release clause can be paid in three installments, the Los Blancos expect extra money for summer operations. It will also benefit Madrid’s likely head coach, Xabi Alonso, who wants to add two new players before the Club World Cup in the US on June 15.

Madrid also tried to get the Spanish superstar for 2021 but lost to Juventus. Recent data suggests that Real Madrid will complete the acquisition this time since the club’s power brokers have maintained a good relationship with the defender’s father.
