Frankfurt Accept £79M Liverpool Bid for Ekitike

International news outlets claimed on Monday that Eintracht Frankfurt agreed to sell Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool for £79 million ($106 million). Reports say that the transaction includes an initial payment of £69 million ($92.7 million) and up to £10 million ($13.4 million) in possible extras.

Ekitike is about to sign a contract for six years. He is supposed to go to the UK on Tuesday to finish the transaction before going to the doctor. Liverpool is expected to take him with them on their preseason tour of Asia. Their first game will be against AC Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday.

Newcastle also tried to get Ekitike to sign with them, but the French player chose to play with the Premier League champions instead. Hugo Ekitike, who played 33 times for Frankfurt last season and scored 15 goals, is likely to get a medical exam soon.

Ekitike is a good scorer and a good provider. He is one of the top 6% of strikers in Germany for creating opportunities last season, thanks to his eight assists.

The French striker also had the most shots on goal in the Bundesliga previous season, with 117 going in, more than any other player. He was the second-highest in the league with 21.6 predicted goals.

Last summer, Ekitike moved from Paris Saint-Germain to Frankfurt for good after a successful loan stay in the second part of the 2023/24 season. Ekitike is said to have already talked to Liverpool manager Arne Slot about his job, and Slot gave him the No. 9 spot on his team.
