Ex footballer claims to be ‘Better than Ronaldo’

A former footballer, long tipped as a Cristiano Ronaldo successor, has made headlines by switching to pornographic films and is now open about his life change.

Like Ronaldo, Fabio Paim started at Sporting CP’s academy and became a future star. His narrative is typical of young geniuses who fail to meet high expectations despite early promise. Paim played for 19 clubs, including a brief stint with Chelsea in 2008 as a reserve. He showed his talent at youth levels for Portugal.

The ex-footballer failed to fulfil his promise and become football’s elite, but he just starred in an adult film.

Paim clearly loves his new job, and he told Globo Esporte how it has improved his life.

He said, “Portugal is up in arms about it. The reason? People don’t mind; this is me. On a podcast, I said I wanted to work in adult films. I received numerous offers, made headlines, and gained attention without doing anything.So, with all the talk, why not make a film? Indeed, I did. Enjoying sex while getting paid is great.”

Paim admits he has had several legal issues, but he is ‘happier now’ than ever.

When compared to Ronaldo, he said ‘everyone knows’ he was more talented but that ‘skill alone isn’t everything’. He said he ‘thought that talent meant I didn’t need to put effort’ when reflecting on his path. He never made it to elite clubs like or Real Madrid, but he believes he could have with more devotion.

Paim said in prior interviews that if he had worked as hard as Ronaldo, he might have won one of his five Ballon d’Or prizes. Ronaldo responded with, “Who is this guy?”
