Everton’s Ndiaye Suffers Knee Injury Blow

Manager David Moyes revealed on Friday that Everton’s attacking midfielder Iliman Ndiaye will be sidelined for at least a few weeks following a medial ligament damage.

After suffering an injury during the first half of the Merseyside Derby against Premier League leaders Liverpool, which concluded in a 2-2 tie at Goodison Park on Wednesday, the 24-year-old Senegal international limped off in tears.

Having scored six times in the Premier League this season, Everton’s top goal scorer Ndiaye injured his knee after unintentionally kicking the ball and struck the ground with his foot.

His medial ligament is damaged. It does not look very good. Not sure exactly how long it will be; it will most definitely be a few weeks, Moyes said reporters.

Everton, with 27 points from 24 games, ranks 15th in the league, visits Crystal Palace in 12th position on Saturday.
