Euro 2024: Mbappe to play despite his nose issue

As reported by Euro Sport, Aurelien Tchouameni, a 24-year-old French football player and midfielder for Real Madrid, informed the media that his 25-year-old colleague is highly enthusiastic about participating in the match against Poland, despite sustaining a nose injury during France’s initial game against Austria.

“I believe it is widely acknowledged that Mbappe is highly enthusiastic about participating in the upcoming match,” Tchouameni informed the reporters. “Regarding the mask, I believe he is gradually acclimating to it.” Undoubtedly, he would prefer not to wear it, but I believe that if you consult the doctor, they would assert that there is no alternative.

“However, that will have no impact on him.” It is certain that his presence on the pitch will greatly contribute to the squad.

After sustaining an injury, Mbappe was absent from the draw against the Netherlands. However, he did take part in a practice match against Paderborn’s under-21 team on Saturday.

According to Euro Sport, he donned his highly-discussed mask and successfully scored two goals.

Tchouameni was included in Didier Deschamps’ starting line-up for the match against the Netherlands, taking the place of Mbappe. Tchouameni had been unable to play in the Austria game due to an injury.

Prior to the last round of Group D matches, where three teams would compete for qualifying while Poland has already been eliminated, Tchouameni expressed, “Certain individuals strive to achieve victory through skillful play, while others simply prioritise winning.”

“Personally, my primary objective is to achieve victory, regardless of our performance quality.” Winning and earning three points are crucial because, ultimately, what we will recall from our careers is the trophies we have secured, rather than our style of play.
