Ederson Breaks Silence on Manchester City Exit Rumours

Ederson, the Manchester City custodian, has denied claims that he is leaving the club soon as his contract comes to an end. So, Ederson came to City from Benfica for 40 million euros ($46.90 million) in 2017, and he has been the club’s number one custodian ever since.

People thought the Brazilian may go to the Saudi Pro League. Reports suggested he had a “unusual proposal” in October, but Ederson said his heart is with City.

“My head is here.” It stays with the City. It gives me everything I need to go back to the Premier League and strive to win the Champions League too. Ederson said, “My mind is still in the club.”

Ederson, who has one year left at the Etihad, stated that there was a lot of talk about his future, but it was all false.

He answered, “This is my future.”

“Some friends email me a lot of news, but 99% of it is bogus. I get what you guys [the media] are saying.

“You need the news to like something on social media or complain about it. I get it, but there is a lot of phoney news about me.

The 31-year-old has won the Premier League Golden Glove three times for having the most clean sheets. He also won six English league titles and a Champions League trophy with City. At the Club World Cup, Pep Guardiola has three goalkeepers: Ederson, Stefan Ortega, and Marcus Bettinelli.

Bettinelli signed a one-year agreement with Chelsea, and Ortega’s contract only has 12 months left. Ortega is also rumoured to be moving to the Bundesliga, but he hasn’t said anything about his future.
