Does Harry Kane PSG favourites claim hold?

The Harry Kane PSG favourites are bringing a whole new dimension to the UEFA Champions League Final, with the Harry Kane openly supporting PSGP over Arsenal.

Kane’s comments came shortly after Bayern Munich were eliminated in a dramatic semi-final clash. Bayern’s late equaliser in the second leg was not enough to win the match on the night, let alone on the score sheet, though. Kane was obviously frustrated by the narrow exit as it clearly wasn’t a moment for him to be happy. The loss “hurts” him, he said, and pointed to the “little moments” that made it a tie.

Kane also admitted that he wasn’t sure if he’ll even be watching the final, interestingly enough. He’s reacting in a way that is emotional, and he’s missing out on a big opportunity in Europe. As an Arsenal man himself, it would have been an interesting personal side story against Arsenal in the finale.

Tactically, it’s interesting that Kane rated PSG as favourites. PSG have demonstrated attacking ability and perseverance in the knockout stages. They may have a bit of an advantage in pressure play situations. But Kane ensured that the match-up was called “even” overall.

The style at Arsenal is different though. Their well-organised build-up and consistency this season also make them a threat. The extremity between approaches may shape the latter part of the book.

Kane also highlighted that Bayern had plenty of opportunities in both games to have turned things around. There were key decisions and finishing quality issues, he said. In fact, this is a larger reality in the sport of football, and it’s the case that the difference in the margins can be significant in big games.

With the end in sight, Kane’s takes on the conversation. While PSG have momentum with them the balance of the game is kept open by Arsenal.
