Cristiano Ronaldo Warns Real Madrid About Mbappe’s Adaptation

Cristiano Ronaldo recently shed some light on his early life, speaking about his early competitive nature. “I was a hotheado, I hated to lose and I cried. I cried a lot,” the Al-Nassr superstar added

In an interview with Edu Aguirre, Cristiano Ronaldo discussed Kylian Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid in the near future. Cristiano urged Real Madrid’s followers to nurture the French player, citing a challenge in becoming accustomed to a new role. “Care for him. Look out for him. I say to Real Madrid’s followers. Look out for the boy,” Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo believes that even with all talent, Mbappé is not a naturally talented striker. “Mbappé is magnificent, and Real Madrid must care for him and protect him,” he insisted. “I’d make Mbappé a No.9, I’d make him a No.9, even when I’m at Real Madrid, Because I wasn’t a striker. I changed to become a striker.”

The Portuguese legend, who himself transitioned in a similar manner from winger to scorer, feels that Mbappé will make Madrileños incredibly happy. “I have no doubt that Mbappé will make Real Madrid happy,”

Aguirre reminded him that Mbappé grew up adoring him. Ronaldo replied with a warm: “I have a lot of love for him. Not for having adored me when he was a boy, but for seeing him as a star.”

Ronaldo, who keeps following Real Madrid sometimes due to his son Mateo’s idol, Mbappé, reiterated that it will not necessarily be an easy one for the Frenchman to adapt to a central striking position. “The position of a striker is a little complicated for Mbappé in terms of not knowing how to act in a No.9 role. Not that he doesn’t know—he simply doesn’t have that role,” Ronaldo added.
