Cristiano Ronaldo Tops Forbes Highest-Paid Athletes List

While American NBA star Stephen Curry has surged to second, Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo has topped the Forbes list of highest paid sportsmen for the third straight.

Rondaldo’s income increased as he joined Al Nassr, a Saudi Pro League team; his projected income is around $275 million. Along with endorsement deals and massive social media following, the Al Nassr star raised his income by $15 million through off-field events.

With $156 million and two other NBA stars, LeBron James and Kevin Durant also among the top 10, Curry, the Golden State Warriors guard, has dropped to second.

With $146 million, British former Boxer Tyson Fury has landed third position. Fury increased his income by the Netflix reality TV program and collaboration with Maltese tourism even though he lost his last bout to Oleksandr Usyk in December. With $137 million, record-breaking signing bonuses and a high-paying contract extension, Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott is up to fourth.

Lionel Messi, an Argentine football player, slid to sixth with $135 million at hand. He is currently working with Adidas and Apple for sponsorships; he went to Major League Soccer (MLS) team Inter Miami in 2023.

LeBron James, on the verge of his career, Los Angeles Lakers forward ended sixth with $133.8 million.
