Sanchez, who is currently 25 years of age, is poised to compete with Kepa Arrizabalaga for the highly sought-after position as the primary goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge. The Spanish goalkeeper has an existing professional relationship with the coaching team at Chelsea, as he had previously collaborated with goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts during their shared tenure at Brighton.
Sanchez joined Brighton at 15 and progressed through their system after joining Levante in 2013. After successful loan spells at Forest Green and Rochdale, the player joined Brighton in November 2020. It was as the team’s primary goalkeeper for two years. Sanchez was selected for the 2021 Spanish national team due to his talent.
Consequently, he was privileged to serve his country in the rescheduled Euro 2020 tournament and the forthcoming 2022 World Cup. Although Sanchez has only earned two caps in friendly matches, his international experience contributes to his strong résumé.
