Last year, Rafa Marin was one of the most important parts of the Real Madrid Castilla team. The young defender worked very hard every week and was a big reason why the team was so close to getting promoted.
Chelsea, PSG, and numerous La Liga clubs want 21-year-old Real Madrid teenager
As luck would have it, the young players didn’t make it to Eldense on the last step, so they’ll be back in the third division next season.
But they did not waste their time. The efforts of Castilla’s stars haven’t gone unnoticed, and several young players have been offered contracts by teams in the top league. Not surprisingly, Marin has a lot of prospects.
Mundo Deportivo says that the young defender does not have a spot on the first team at Real Madrid for next season. At first, he was seen as a substitute for Nacho Fernandez, who was leaving the team, but the veteran’s renewal shuts the door.
Marin thinks about leaving Madrid to take the next big step in his life. Some foreign teams, like Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea, are interested in him. Espanyol and Celta Vigo have also asked about him.
Los Blancos don’t want to give up full control of the center-back’s future because they think he has a sky-high ceiling as a player. So, Real Madrid will want a guarantee that lets them buy the star back, and the talks won’t be easy.
Florentino Perez can also send the young player out on loan and plan to bring him back in a few years.
Real Madrid’s main goal right now is to keep control over the player’s future by extending his deal. His current deal with the club ends next summer, and the club doesn’t have enough power to negotiate a new one.
Last season, the 21-year-old played 39 times for the Castilla team and scored two goals and set up one other goal.
