Ancelotti Hails ‘Unforgettable’ Madrid Journey

On Tuesday, Carlo Ancelotti said he was proud of his legacy in four generally successful years at Real Madrid in his second stint and will only have good memories as he takes over the five-time world winners in Brazil.

After the Brazilian FA (CBF) confirmed that the Italian would become Brazil coach after leaving Real at the conclusion of the season, Wednesday’s LaLiga match at home against Mallorca was put on hold at the pre-match press conference.

Ancelotti stated he will focus on Spain until he gets to Brazil on May 25. Real’s in-house TV channel asked everything except the first question about his impending move.

“There have been some unforgettable years that I’ll tenderly cherish,” Ancelotti told reporters.

Football is full of beginnings and endings, like life. I always knew my time at Real would end. It has been a beautiful time that is ending. Great time. However, if life ends, consider how a football tenure ends.

“I’ve liked it and want to finish well. I’ll discuss another challenge on the 26th.”

Reporters asked him about Real’s failure to announce Ancelotti’s departure, but he maintained everything was done in compliance with all parties.

Carlo Ancelotti Reflects on Real Madrid Legacy

“Real will issue a statement when they think adequate, but there is no problem or issue between all parts whatsoever,” he said.

“Real never bothered me and never will. I love this club, but everything ends.”

Carlo Ancelotti, one of the world’s most distinguished managers, has led Real to even more titles in his second term, yet they will conclude this season without a trophy. Barcelona, seven points ahead of Real, may win the league on Wednesday without playing if Real lose to Mallorca.

A Barca win in the city derby at Espanyol on Thursday would win the title regardless of Real’s result. Before Madrid’s final game of the season at home to Real Sociedad on May 25, former footballer Xabi Alonso, 43, will replace Carlo Ancelotti.

1,000 thanks to this club. We’ll continue. I’ll always support Madrid. The era is over. Spectacular. I’ve coached Madrid for six years, which I never imagined.”
