Barcelona to Start LaLiga Home Games at Training Ground

Barcelona to start LaLiga home games in front of 6,000 people at their training field stadium. The Spanish giants are practically homeless since renovations at Camp Nou have been delayed.

On Tuesday, the club said they would play Valencia on Sunday at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, which is a small arena within their Sant Joan Despi training facility on the outskirts of Barcelona.

The decision to play their fourth LaLiga game there this season comes after the famous Camp Nou restoration ran nine months behind schedule, thus the club had to find a temporary solution.

LaLiga had to give Barca a special exception from competition rules that say first-division clubs must have at least 15,000 seats because the venue only had 6,000 seats.

League technicians have been checking out the Johan Cruyff Stadium’s infrastructure for the previous week and asking for important changes, including as the installation of VAR cameras.

Barca really wanted to go back to Camp Nou with 27,000 fans, but they couldn’t get the right permits from the Barcelona City Council.

The Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium, where they have been playing their games for the previous several seasons with the fewest fans in a long time, was ruled out because a Post Malone concert left the ground in bad shape.

“The Club is working very hard to get the right permits from the government so that the Spotify Camp Nou stadium can open soon. The club said in a statement, “The match will be played at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.”

“FC Barcelona thanks its members and fans for their understanding and support during the difficult but thrilling process of moving back to the new Spotify Camp Nou. The Club will soon let everyone know about all the details of how the match will be set up and how to get tickets.

Barcelona, who just won LaLiga and had a successful run in the Champions League, is now without a home because to the problem, and the season has already started.
