According to sources in the local media, the national team, who defeated France on Sunday,would fly in on the state aircraft in the wee hours of Tuesday and spend the night at the federation’s training center close to the airport.
Thus, after a thrilling 3-3 deadlock, Argentina prevailed over France 4-2 on penalties in what has been called one of the best World Cup finals ever played. So, everywhere throughout Argentina, people have taken to the streets to celebrate the Argentine national team’s third World Cup victory.
“Plus, the world champion squad will leave on Tuesday at noon for the Obelisk to celebrate the world title with the fans,” the Argentine Football Association (AFA) said on its official Twitter account.
