Last Sunday, after Brighton’s last Premier League game at Aston Villa, Mac Allister was in tears because he had helped the Seagulls make it to Europe for the first time in their history.
Mac Allister said, “The goal is to keep getting better as a person and as a player so that I can win more titles.” I think this is my short-term goal, and I think it always will be, because I will always be the same person and always want to be a little better than the day before, so I pay a lot of attention to this.
“I’m not going to complain. I’m 24, I’m a world champion, I play in one of the best teams in the world, and I feel like my career is growing.
But I still have my feet on the ground, and I really want to get better every day, both as a person and as a player. We’ll see what happens in the future.”
