Cambodia surprises the Philippines 3-2 on Tuesday at the Kuala Lumpur Stadium in Cheras. This was the thrilling game of their ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup defense (Dec 20). Bordin Phala, a winger for Port FC, scored Thailand’s first goal in the 19th minute.

Teerasil Dangda, who had scored the most goals in the game, made it 2-0 exactly two minutes later. In the 88th minute, Brunei’s problems got even worse when Yura Yunos’s shot hit the post.

Thailand lost 5-0 after a substitute, Peeradol Chamrasamee, scored twice in extra time. Thailand moved up to Group A because they scored more goals than the other teams. At the same time, Cambodia was in second place with three points after beating the Philippines 3-2 in their first game at home.

Reung Bunheing and Orn Chanpolin scored early goals for the Cambodian team, which was coached by Ryu Hirose and played at Phnom Penh’s Morodok Techno National Stadium (20 minutes in).

In the 41st minute, Kenshiro Daniels scored to get the Philippines back in the game. Then, in the 55th, he scored again. Four minutes later, Bunheing scored the game-winning goal with a header, giving Cambodia the well-earned win.
